Meet Alayna, Northern Lights Foundation Grant Recipient. Alayna is 6 years old and going into first grade. Born with a rare congenital condition called Goldenhar Syndrome, she has faced 8 surgeries with countless more in her future.
Alayna enjoys spending time outdoors going to the cabin, playing soccer and downhill skiing. Alayna wants to be an ENT when she grows up to help kids just like her.
Alayna has two older sisters and a younger brother. Her father is a volunteer firefighter/EMR and she has extended family in the DFD. Alayna’s Grandma is an alumni of Hibbing Law Enforcement Academy.
